An appealing and well coloured figure depicting a boy and girl with musical instruments.
The girl - wearing an orange jacket and pink skirt with a plaid sash through her arm - is sitting holding a stringed instrument. The boy - wearing a cobalt jacket, yellow waistcoat, white breeches, and plumed hat - stands cross-legged beside her with his right arm around her and an instrument propped up by his left side.
This little figure is deceptively complex with beautifully applied enamels, a bright palette, and good textures in the form (such as the folds of the girl’s skirt and the green fabric on her knee). The base too is nicely coloured and the gilt of the band is in good order.
A very attractive and well made figure which is offered in superb original condition with no damage or repair.
