Rowan Cottage Antiques offers you two ways to sell your antique ceramics

Using the contact form below, simply send us photographs and a brief description of the item you wish to sell - capturing as much detail as possible - and if we are confident we can help you we will contact you to discuss terms.

If we decide to proceed and reach a provisional agreement, you will be asked to post your item to us for further review. If we are not able to agree a price or devise a mutually agreeable commission arrangement, your item will be returned to you free of charge.

But if your item is found to be suitable once it has been inspected in person, we will offer you one or both of the following options.

Cash Offers

If we agree a cash sum, the funds could be sent to you by bank transfer within 48 hours of an agreement.

Commission Sales

We may offer to sell your item on commission. Instead of receiving an immediate cash sum, we would work with you to agree a suitable ‘target price’ (and, potentially, a ‘minimum value’ should we be required to negotiate with the eventual buyer), and agree the percentage of the sale price which Rowan Cottage Antiques would retain once the item is sold. Rowan Cottage Antiques would photograph, authenticate, and list your item for sale (and / or offer it for sale privately or at some of the many Antique Fairs at which we exhibit). Rowan Cottage Antiques would use all its resources to secure the best possible price - it being in the interests of both parties. Once the item has sold, you would receive the funds - minus Rowan Cottage Antique’s commission percentage - within 48 hours. If a buyer is not found after a certain period of time, we may work with you to lower the target price / minimum price, make a revised cash offer, or return your item free of charge.
