A rare Staffordshire figure titled ‘St Patrick’.
St Patrick wears a large mitre and flowering robes. He stands with his right hand on his heart and a long crozier in left. ‘St Patrick’ is written in gilt script on the base.
The figure, in typical later-Victorian style, is largely white with gilt details. Only the face has been fully coloured. The design and modelling are very nice with well-articulated flowing robes and an embellishment on the mitre.
The figure is in fair condition. It displays well and is legible but the gilt is fairly heavily faded (although the title remains legible). The crazing is rather dark in places. There are three chips around the bottom of the base, fortunately only on the back.

Height: 11.75”
Date: c. 1870s
Provenance: The Stephen Duckworth Collection
