Spaniel with Hare (Inkwell)

£90.00

A fabulous porcelain inkwell depicting a dog - perhaps a spaniel - with a slain rabbit or hare under its front paws.

The scene is depicted on a green rococo base with a gilt band. The recumbent russet and white dog is superbly modelled with wonderful details to its tail, legs, and coat. There is a mirror-image pair for this figure.

This figure is in excellent original condition with no damage, loss, or repair. There is some light flaking to the green enamel and some of the dog’s russet spots. There is rubbing to the gilt.
