An attractive and well coloured figure of Crimean War interest depicting the British officer Sir Charles Napier.

Napier stands in military uniform with a sword scabbarded on his left side and a hat in his right. He stands next to a cannon and a pile of cannon balls. The title of the figure - ‘C NAPIER’ - is written in raised gilded capitals on a raised banner on the base.

This is a popular example of a Crimean War general figure and it was produced in four sizes (of which this is the second smallest). This example is nicely modelled and decorated.

The figure is in very good original condition. There is some general superficial wear, such as to the tip of the nose and left hand, and some flaking to the cannon balls, but otherwise it is an excellent example.
