Seated Piper

£45.00

A charming little figure depicting a seated piper with an animal.

The young man wears a gilded jacket and shirt with pink trousers and white sicks. A small black and white animal sits at his left side - it is probably intended to be a dog but in some respects it more closely resembles a cat.

This figure may be the work of the Dudson Factory.

The figure displays very well - the decoration on the jacket is excellent and it is well made. There is some restoration - the base is extensive restored and the stump on which the piper sits has been reattached, as has the right leg. There is a discreet chip to the animal’s right ear.

Reference: Possibly unrecorded

Height: 4.75”
