A very fine and striking pair of large whippets reclining on ornate cobalt bases, fashioned as quill holders.
Both dogs are beautifully modelled with an independent front leg crossed over the other. The bases are circled by gilt bands, which are somewhat faded.
This pair is in excellent condition with no loss - only some fading to the gilt bands and some light flaking of facial enamels.
