A rare figure depicting Prince Albert.
Albert wears a cobalt jacket, peach-coloured waistcoat, pink trousers, and gilt bowtie. He holds an open book in his right hand, and holds his left hand on his breast. He is modelled on a woody-textured base and backdrop.
This figure was made in two sizes and pairs with a figure of Queen Victoria, although the stark differences between the two sizes of Victoria figures give rise to some speculation that one size may depict a different subject.
The figure presents very well. There is a chip to the (viewer’s) right side of the base from which some superficial hairline cracks emanate and some of the black enamels have been retouched.

Height: 8.75”
Date: c. 1840
