Pair of Standing Pugs
A very attractive and characterful pair of standing pugs. The two dogs, wearing black collars, stand alert on all-fours with their tails curling.
They present beautifully. One paw of the left hand pug has been damaged - probably prior to glazing - but this does not adversely affect their appeal.
Ref: A. & N. Harding, Victorian Staffordshire Dogs, p. 121, Figs. 2783 / 2784
Height: 7.75”
Date: c. 1870
