Napoleon Bonaparte

£115.00

A striking and rare figure depicting Napoleon Bonaparte, the form based on an engraving by Raffet titled L’oeil du maitre (‘The Master’s Eye’).

He is uniformed in a green jacket, cobalt greatcoat, cobalt hat, white waistcoat, white breeches, and black boots. He holds a yellow scroll in his right hand.

This particularly form is well decorated and reasonably rare. It is probably part of a series including Wellington and Nelson (there is a ‘3’ inside the base).

The figure presents well. Napoleon’s green jacket has been fully repainted. There is some discreet restoration and repainting to the nose. There may be some discreet repair to the right hand.
