Musicians in a Boat

£120.00

A beautifully designed and well-decorated figure depicting a man with his arm around a woman in a boat - the prow of which is modelled as a bird - on the water.

The man wears a cobalt blue tunic with a gilt belt, a shredded clay scarf or coat, a white shirt, and a green plumed hat. The lady carries an orange violin. She wears a cobalt blue blouse with gilt trim, a green patterned skirt, and a pink plumed hat. The boat is orange with a curbed shape and colourful details. The prow is modelled as a yellow bird with a feathered neck. Beneath the boat, the carefully modelled water is in a faded blue-green, beneath which is a gilt-banded base.

The figure is in good condition. There is a firing flaw around the neck of the bird (prow), and another along part of the attachment of the colourful boat siding to the hull. There are some nibbled to the rim of the base at the back of the figure.
