A charming miniature figure generally thought to depict Queen Victoria arm in arm with Prince Albert.
The Queen wears a long gown and a crown. Albert is dressed in full military garb.
For a time it was theorised that the figure depicts Queen Victoria and Emperor Napoleon, and while this is not impossible it should be noted that other Alliance figures featuring the Queen and the French Emperor show them holding hands rather than arm in arm, hence why it is perhaps likelier that the male subject is the Queen’s husband.
This little commemorative figure is a lovely little example - simple but well made and legible.
It is offered in excellent original condition with a small patch of wear to the front of the Queen’s crown. There is some discolouration to the glaze.
