A very sweet little pearlware figure depicting the actress Lucia Vestris in her famous theatrical role as ‘The Broom Lady’.

Vestris wears a yellow bodice and a skirt patterned with flowers or fruit. She holds two brooms against her shoulder in her left hand and another broom by her hip in her right. She stands on a green bevelled platform atop a base with two red stripes. This figure is attributed to the Obadiah Sherratt Pottery.

The figure is in very good condition with no obvious signs of damage. The fragile shafts of the two brooms in her left hand may have been professionally restored but I cannot guarantee it.
