A very sweet figure of a man in highland wear with a hunting dog sitting at his side.

A bearded man wears a cobalt jacket and kilt with a tartan sash, sporran, and plumed hat. His hand strokes the neck of a russet and white hunting dog.

This simple but endearing figure is nicely decorated and in good condition, though not particularly fresh out the mould. There are small firing flaws on the side of the plumed hat, under both of his arms, and around the dog’s neck when it joins the kilt. There is some kiln soot in the glaze including some small clumps around the bottom rim of the base. Some of the gilt has faded a little but is otherwise intact.
