A very fine porcelaneous figure of an eagle, its wings spread while roosting on a white rocky base with colourful shredded clay moss.
This figure is sometimes attributed to John and Rebecca Lloyd of Shelton.
The bird is beautifully modelled and decorated with detailed feathers, a large black beak, and a gilt crest.
The figure is in excellent condition. There is some discreet retouching to the over-glaze black of the near-tip of one wing and the beak.
