Dancing Group

£75.00

A large, lively group figure depicting three dancers - a gentleman in the middle and two women carrying floral garlands on either side.

This figure is nicely decorated and well-coloured. It displays well and is in generally good condition. There are some spots of flaking and over-glaze enamel loss, mainly to the base, the dancers’ hair, and the face of the women on the man’s right (viewer’ left). There is loss (or failure) of glaze in places, particularly to the left arm of the woman on the man’s left (viewer’s right) giving a rough feel to the pottery. There is a very small under-glaze chip to the back of the base and visible crazing.
