A charming little Staffordshire figure depicting Christ’s conversation with the Woman of Samaria at the well (John 4:4-42).

This is the smallest of three known sizes of figures depicting this scene. Some such figures are confidently attributed to the Thomas Parr Factory, and Stephen Duckworth speculates that this figure is also Parr. Oliver-Sutton Antiques dates the figure to 1865, and Stephen Duckworth dates it to the 1850s.

The figure is well coloured and legible. It is presented in good condition.
