Children with Begging Spaniels wearing Dunce Hats (Dudson Factory)

£225.00

An exceptional and very rare pair of figures made by the Dudson Factory depicting a boy and girl sitting on bridges - begging spaniels wearing dunce hats on one side and floral displays on the other - books in their laps and swans swimming below.

These pastoral figures are simply superb in terms of aesthetic, appeal, composition, and quality. The modelling is crisp and precise, the gilding is strong and bold, the design is intricate, and the Dudson hallmarks are delightful - blue eyes, blue shoes, orange shoes, and blue parsley.

These exquisite figures are in excellent original condition with no signs of damage or repair. There are some original firing flaws (such as to the girl’s ankles and across the base of the boy’s dog) but otherwise they are as good as you will find.
