A very handsome Sunderland and Tyne orange lustre plaque, possibly attributable to Scott’s of Southwick.
The plaque features a transfer - with light hand-painting - bearing a biblical quote from the book of Job:
‘Behold GOD will not cast away a perfect man, neither will HE help the evil doers. Job. 8. 20.’
The words are circled by a foliate and floral garland, simply coloured. The plaque is bordered with a moulded foliate pattern in pale orange lustre. Two holes are fashioned at the top, and the plaque is strung for hanging.
The plaque is in excellent condition with no damage or signs of repair. There may be some light wear commensurate with age.
