A lovely early 19th century pearlware silver resist jug, possibly Staffordshire.
The jug has a brilliant shine and reflective quality. It features a fence-like border around the rim and a foliage / vine pattern around the body.
Some areas of the silvering are slightly tarnished and there is some flaking particularly around parts of the border. There are some scratches to the body. There are some very small superficial nibbles around the spout. Other signs of wear and age are visible in the images.
