









































Maling Plaque - John Wesley (c. 1830s)
A fabulous and very striking pottery plaque attributed to Maling, Newcastle.
The plaque commemorates Reverend John Wesley, founder of Methodism. It features a three-layered black-orange-black rim, the outer black line being attractively textured. The transfer is a portrait of John Wesley and a dedication to him along with the words ‘The best of all - God is with us’.
The plaque has hanging holes and is already fitted with wire for hanging. It is in excellent condition with no damage, only some very light wear commensurate with age.
