A superb large blue and white earthenware pitcher with sponged decoration.
This fabulous pitcher may have been part of a washing set which would have included a wash basin, but this is not certain. It was probably made in Staffordshire.
It is offered in very good condition. A small chip underneath the rim of the mouth has been filled and overpainted but this not visible when the pitcher is displayed.
