A fabulous Northeast plaque made by Sheriff Hill pottery.
The plaque features a transfer depicting Reverend John Wesley, founder of methodism, complete with the title ‘THE BEST OF ALL | GOD IS WITH US’. Beneath the profile of Wesley are the words ‘THE REVD JOHN WESLEY, A. M. | FOUNDER OF THE | Wesleyan Methodist Society | ESTABLISHED 1739’.
The plaque is bordered by two yellow bands and a broader black band. Two holes are fashioned at the top and the plaque is wired for hanging.
The plaque is in excellent condition with no apparent damage or restoration. There are spots of wear and light rubbing commensurate with age.
