An exceptionally fine and desirable early Worcester porcelain scalloped serving dish in the eastern-inspired ‘Dragons in Compartments’ pattern. This is a particularly vibrant and beautiful pattern of rich oranges, greens, blues, purples, and gilt in a very delicate composition of designs featuring dragons and flower vases.
This deep serving dish is offered in very good condition with no damage. There is some wear to the enamels in places as shown in the close-up images, commensurate with age. This makes for a stunning centrepiece and is an excellent example of the quality and impact of early Worcester’s eastern-inspired designs.
