Coalport Three Handled Vase and Cover (c. 1900)
A very attractive, small Coalport three-handled vase and cover decorated with a cobalt blue ground, intricate gilt motifs, handles and rim, two small panels with floral displays, and a larger central landscape panel of a Loch.
The vase is in good condition. There are some superficial spots of loss and rubbing to the gilt on the handles commensurate with age and expected wear, and there may be some very light scuffing to the surface of the body in places (visible only in the form of some light rubbing to discreet parts of the gilt), but ultimately the vase presents very well with no signs of improper handling. The visible portion of the cover is also in very good condition, but there is a small chip to the inner lip. In all, this is a delightful decorative piece exhibiting the elegance of quality of Coalport.
Pattern Reference: V5146
Height: 4.5”
Width: 6” (at widest point)
Date: c. 1891 - 1920
