Caughley Tea Bowl and Saucer, 'Daffodil' (c. 1790)

A fabulous and rare Caughley porcelain tea bowl and saucer with a delightful and delicate pattern in gilt and blue depicting daffodils and other flroal motifs. Both pieces have rich gilt rims.

Both pieces are in excellent condition with no damage. There is some light wear to the gilded rims of each piece and some very light scratching to the glaze and gilt. There are some tiny underglaze nibbles to the foot of the bowl (manufacturing flaws rather than damage). Overall the condition is uncommonly good.
