Canary Yellow Glazed Jug (c. 1825)

£115.00

A very lovely canary yellow jug, possibly Staffordshire, with a black transfer design and silver relief features.

The black transfer depicts the outside of a country house. It is framed with a circular silver border. There are silver bands around the body of the jug, a silver rim, and a silver sunburst design beneath the spout.

There is one small chip to the inside of the rim. There are some hairline stress cracks around the join of the top of the handle, visible internally and externally.

Despite these imperfections, the jug displays beautifully. It is wonderfully made, elegant, and striking.
